Went out to run my boat this morning. After I fished my last spot, I had the boat in gear (idling) while I put my stuff up. When I mashed the hotfoot to plane off the buzzer went off at about 3,000 RPMs. As soon as the buzzer went off I let out of it. It did this twice and then the third time it didn't do it. I ran it hard to the ramp and it never did it again. Anybody out their with a reason?

You could start by removing the cowling and checking the oil level in the oil tank on the port side of the engine. It should be at or close to the maximum level. If not, there is a gray toggle switch directly in front of the oil tank and if switched on will turn on the remote oil tank pump to fill the oil tank on the engine. You might need to have the ignition switch on for the pump to work.
If you don't hear the pump come on when you flip the switch you need to find out why. Pump, level sensor, wiring, electrical connection, etc.
This is only one possible cause for your problem but it's easy to check. I hope this gives you a place to start.
I've see something similar to this on carbed V6 Mercs. Every time I saw this it was the water pump beginning to get weak. They still made great pressure at speed, but when idling the water pressure was to low to force the water all the way to top of the water column inside the engine ergo the top pistons are overheating. When I would excelerate the cool water would be forced back up the column and probably came to a boil as soon as it came in contact with the space that wasn't being cooled at idle. This set the temp sensor off..If you have the gauge at the dash watch it at idle and see if it is still making the pressure it used to at idle. In my tournament fishing days I had the pump rebuilt during the dead of winter and the prop gone over as well every year.
