2003 225HP HPDI stalls when put in gear

Hi all. I posted this a while ago but never really got to the bottom of this and it is getting worse. This 2003 225HP HPDI has been flawless until about 9 months ago. When I would put it into gear it would stall 20% of the time originally now it is more like 90% of the time. If I give it some gas when putting it into gear it does not stall. Once in gear and running it runs like a champ. It is the actual shifting into gear that knocks it out.

I've done a little research but have not found anything that points me where to look other than taking it to the dealer (1.5 hour drive). I changed the plugs hoping this would do it but this made no difference.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need to check the idle speed with something more accurate than a analogue tacho. Mine does it sometimes too but not enough to bother me at all. And reving it up and dumping into gear is really bad http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif

Yeah, that is why it stalls on me so much. I try as hard as possible to not give it gas when putting it into gear. I guess it is time to get it to the mechanic.
