04 250 HPDI Oil pump upgrade?
I'm trying to buy the upgraded oil pump for my 250 Vmax hpdi. The linkage on my oil pump is 60V01
I've seen where it would be best to replace this with a 60V03.
(Those are the numbers on the arm of the oil pump).
I'm trying to figure out how to be sure I get a 60V03 when I order one, because...60V03 doesn't seem to be anything like the part numbers I'm seeing.
Is 60V03 and 60V-13200-03-00 (same thing?)

May I ask why you are buying one? If the upgrade has not been done, Yamaha will pay for it.

On an 04 model? Long out of warranty and I'm not the original owner?

Doesn't matter. Take your model and serial and call customer service and they can tell you if the modification was ever done. A dealer can also look this up. If it was never done, Yamaha will pay for it, even now, regardless of year or warranty.

Is it the same for a '06 225? I think mine has been upgraded. When I looked at it the other day somebody had numbered the oil lines with masking tape.
