Been thinking of making the switch to Pennzoil myself. Been reading alot about it on TheHulltruth. Some guys have been draining what they have left of Yamalube others have just been adding the Pennzoil and letting it run. Not sure what I am going to do yet.
Run the tank down as far as you can then add the Penn,

+1...they'll mix fine. I did it with no problems. I ran mine down as low as I could stand and then added the Penzoil. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Is the Penzoil a better oil? or just cheaper?

Opinions...just do a seach for Penzoil. You'll find all the arguements needed to draw your own conclusions. I personally don't like Yamalube for my OX66. I had o2 sensor issue with running Yamalube. None since getting them squared away and switching the Penzoil. It isn't any cheaper for me as a gallon from Academy costs the same as a gallon from my dealer (in bulk).
I recently switched to Amsoil from Yamalube in my Vmax 225 OX66. Easier to get and seems to smoke less. U can get it delivered to your door by contacting Conrad Baker sjso395. He is a sponsor here. http://www.lubedealer.com/cbsynthetics/ . Great guy to deal with. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
