Changes from Yamalube to Pennzoil 100% Synthetic

Well I made the change as some have recommended. Ran the boat in a tourney over the weekend and put 1 hour on the motor during the tourney. The motor seamed to run well and idle/start a little better. The problem that I have is that the motor smokes more, especially at idle after restarting the motor. I run ring free and stabil as recommended. Any thoughts on why the motor smokes more now? Thanks in advance.

No idea on the real reason but mine did it also after the change but it went away after a cpl of trips ,i just assumed it was getting the new oil ran through it and coating everything ,Hardly ever smokes now .But like i said that was just my theory it sounded good to me ,havent had any issues in over a year http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
