I have a 06 250 HPDI that's missing coming out of the hole. It idles fine, but when you come out of the hole about the time the boat levels it misses about three times then goes on. It runs fine after this like nothings wrong. If you give it gas slowly and just ease on plane it doesn't do it. Anyone ever heard of anything like this or have any ideas what may be going on?
if you have a fuel/water seperator i would start there.
When mine did the same thing it was the fuel filter in the VST.
Do you have Command Link? If so, drop me a line and I'll share some tips. If not, I agree with the others.
No command link. I took it and left it at dealer today and the computer showed it loosing fuel pressure at 3500 rpm and then regaining pressure. Now they just have to find out why its losing pressure.
probably a high pressure pump or filter would be my guess. i bet its nothing terrible.
My guess would be the same..a new high pressure fuel filter should fix it..
Gonna call dealer tomorrow and find out. Haven't heard from them since saturday. That kind of worries me, but they may be waiting on a part or something. I try not bugging them, but I got to know something.

Unfortunately, it didn't fix mine. Same issue as before http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
I use to experience something like this. I had to let off the throttle, shift into neutral pat the trottle, & then shift back into gear and ready to go. Finally, I had a problem where shifting was difficult into gear but motor remained in neutral. Wound up lubricating shifter linkage at both ends and never had any more problem. I think the sensor that lets it idle on 4 cylinders was not releasing and fouling when you start to give it the throttle. Try shifting back into neutral and patting the throttle and see if it works for you. Might be a starting point.
V S T filter i would change this first i went thru everything on mine even as far as removing fuel tank and cleaning it check the vst it doesnt cost much to do this
