Injecting lower gear oil in lower unit
I used to have a Merc 225EFI and was able every winter to drain the lower unit and refill with new gear oil with a little pump set up that had a white plastic fitted insert for the lower drain hole and a pump handle to place on top of the gear oil quart. I now have a 250 HPDI and the same white fitting plug does not fit into the lower drain hole on a Yammie - anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Larry from PA

Had the same problem. I took the guts out of an ink, put the hose on one end and put the pointed end in the LU and filled her up. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

Yamaha uses a different size fitting for the lower unit.I got one at my dealer and it works great with the pump.
