Yamaha repair dealer question for my service
I just hit 100 hours on my 250hpdi and I am taking advice from everywhere here and taking it in for service. I checked yamaha's website for repair dealers in my area. There are a couple within 30 mins of me but some of them dont show the "yamaha certifications" like the 5 star yamaha factory outboard certificate. Does this matter??
There is a dealer about 2 hours away that has shows "factory trained outboard" and "master technician outboard."
My question is since I am only going to the basics which were recommended to me (change spark plugs, filters, change lower unit oil, and a new impeller) should I worry about all of this or does it even matter?? Thanks!

why not call Yamaha and ask about the Non-Certified shops or who you need to take it too.

Re: Yamaha repair dealer question for my service (Hardhead1)
Thanks for your help. I called Yamaha and they said for regular maint. that anyone on their site would be fine to use.
He pretty much said that all those extras just mean that someone from that repair shop attended classes, seminars, training etc.
Hated to be paranoid about it but I plan to keep this boat for at least 3 more years and I need it to last. I dont want to cut corners or anything. thanks for your help!
