ChampioNman....rusty.... rudetech...oh yeah dont let me forget bassmiester
you have answered some tech questions regarding a fuel pump on my vj200slens i have replaced the pump and am wondering
the o ring( Egg shaped ) on the old pump between the sensor and the pump apeared to have been leaking ... could this be the cause of the over oiling?
the new fuel line fitting that i had to fasten on the top of the new pump is a hair smaller (inside diameter) than the old brown one... is this correct

As far as I know there are no "egg shaped O rings" associated with your motor closest think to egg shaped is the D ring on the H20 pump. The VRO works off of vacuum from the crankcase, and is a direct connect to the vacuum inlet on the pump. Next is the fuel inlet from the tank, and then the Oil line, These all connect into the bottom of the pump and all should be secured via a ratchet clamp, Out the topside it the fuel line to the carbs and primer solenoid via the fuel tree. Ratchet clamp on the out let and tie wraps on the rest of the system. CM

champioNman behind the sensor on the fuel pump if you take the four torque screws out (i am saying sensor but it is the piece that the four wires gointo) ther is an egg shaped o ring between that piece and the rest of the fuel pumpbody it WAS leaking oil out there ... i was just curious if that could have been the cause of the over oiling
