had probs last year where as running all day with no problems, took a wake and suddenly rpm's just bottomed out. make a long story short, wouldn't push much over 3000 r's when trying to get up on plane. lower unit fluid had just a hint of water, but no smell and no metal. i didn't have time/money to have it fixed or even looked at, so i winterized it and called it good. this weekend, i pulled it out and changed out oil to the XD 50 and hooked her up to the hose. fired right over, though a bit rough. did the hole decarb thing, sat over night, and ran her on a hose again for 20 mins to clean her out. changed plugs, fired right over. i did a compression test, all 6 are reading 90, i'm hoping that is good. i don't want to put her in the water with not being able to get the r's needed and cause more possible damage. what i need to know now, should i launch her and see if she'll run, maybe just a fluke or is there somewhere i should start looking for the problem before it turns into a bigger one.

If all cyls showed the same on the comp gauge, by all means run it and check it out and let us know what she is doing. I will say this, run her easy for about 5 minutes and let her get all warmed up oil circulating, and all that before ya jump on it to see what she will do. I hate the thought of an engine that has sat for a long time and someone just jumps on it!! Let her wake up then run her.... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Also check out that L/U!
