Was looking at a used boat to by with an 03 225HPDI with about 200hr.
What do you guys that have one or have had one think.
Any help at all will help me decide what to do.

I've got an 03 225 Vmax hpdi with 110 hours on it.
Its a great motor. I haven't had any problems. You can call yamaha with the serial number, and they can give you the history on the motor.
At the minimum, I'd do a compression test to make sure all the cylinders check the same. Look at the plugs also. They should all have the same burnt coffee color. I had one that was really sooty, and it turned out to be a bad injector (Ok so one problem)
