Re: 2001 200HP HPDI Problems (Sprokit)
Checked fuel diaphragms yet?
Not expensive to replace either...been there with my 2000 V-Max...
not a mechanic by any means, just learned some stuff by 28 years of problems to solve.
Re: 2001 200HP HPDI Problems (reelman)
Well rebuilt both low pressure fuel pumps with no change in the problem. Engine will start and idle fines but bogs down and stalls between 700 and 800 RPMs when the throttle is advanced. The pumps and diaphrams looked pretty clean.
So, I am stumped. To recap"
All plugs changed.
VST & water seperator/water alarm (on engine) filters changed
10 Micron filter has been changed.
I am going to run the YDS again to see if there are any clues that I may have overlooked. I did notice something strange the last time I ran the diagnostics. The ECM was stating that the engine had over 6400 operating hours on it! Could the ECM have gone bad? Anyway to reset the paramters and clear out any errors?
Many thanks. This board has been very helpful with info.

The ECU could very will be the problem but if not check the TPS.
