Lower unit .....clicking when I turn prop
Was idling out of a stump field Fri and thought that I felt the prop tick a stump. I keep my engine trimmed way high to avoid any hard contact. I never thought twice about it. I finish my day and load the boat and turn the prop as normal and now can hear a clicking noise inside the lower unit?
Any suggestions as to what that could be?

You may need a small linkage adjustment between F & R so neutral is quiet.. Just guessing though.

Mike is correct. Adjust your shift cable where it connects to shift cam on the motor. Move gear shift handle to a point until prop stops clicking and adjust cable accordingly

This is probably not your problem, but mine was clicking when i spun my prop http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif also. After close examination i found that when my prop would make a revolution my cotter pin would move slightly and make a clicking noise. Maby your problem is that simple.

Mine did the same exact thing. I cycled the shifter all the way forward, then all the way into reverse and back to Neutral and it stopped the noise. If that doesn't do it, it may be a linkage adjustment as others have indicated.

linkage adj time
check to make sure the prop shaft is not bent
