Re: HPDI 225 Starting..... (SkeeterSX190)
I would bet it's a plug, or two fouling, or something needing a slight adjustment since it's brand new. I have had to give mine a little throttle to keep it running on the initial start of the day a couple of times. It was very cold both times, and it has always started with just a bump of the key after that. Congrats on the new boat! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Yammie's are power sensative so keep your battery charged or you'll have more problems down the road. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

make sure the ball on the gas line is tight. may need to pump it a couple times.
Re: HPDI 225 Starting..... (SkeeterSX190)
MY HPDI IS BAD COLD TOO, IF YOU PUSH THE KEY IN WHILE TURNING ITS LIKE A CHOKE AND HELPS START QUICKER, ONCE IT FIRES OFF RELEASE THE KEY, AND GIVE A LITTLE PUSH MOMENTARILY AS IT ACTS LIKE ITS GOING TO SHUT OFF.KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL IDLES ON ITS ON. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

Hooked the batteries up and let them charge good. Went out today and hooked the motor up on a water hose and it fired right up on the 1st try. I figured that a low battery was the problem, but I was still kinda nervous http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
Thanks for all the help guys.
