Look at the owners manual here.

no matter how careful you are, you're gonna make a mess.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
I take the plug out and let it run into an old ice bucket out of the fridge... the fun part comes when you go to put the plug back in...
It is tough to do this without making a mess, but I have figured out a way to keep it to a minimum with my F100.
I use liguid detergent containers (Gain/Tide) to collect the oil (you will need several) they have pouring spouts that you can place over the oil drain. First tilt the motor up before removing the plug, you don't have to fight oil pouring out that way. Trim the motor down and the oil flows into the container. Trim the motor back up when the container is half full, don't wait until it is full. Use more containers to collect the balance. When the oil is completely drained, trim it back up before reinstalling the plug. You can then remove the oil filter. Be sure to place some rags around the oil filter before removal. Good luck.
I knew there was a genius in this bunch!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
This is knowledge acquired after many oil spills. Hope the EPA does not try to pull an inspection on my yard. Nothing will grow there for decades.
