STARTING BIG MOTOR WITH ROPE
kbhere on another site the guys where taking about starting there 200 hp motors with the rope they put in the engine cover have you guys tryed it they said it was easer than you think to start this way. i have not did not think i was strong enough kb http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif

Its not too bad but you should try it at home before you have to do it out on the water some day. I made my own pull rope using a foot long piece of 1" dowel for a handle (so I could get both hands around it...) and about 6' of 1/4" high strength nylon rope. The little handle and rope they give you in the kit bag is pretty hard on your hands and you can't get a good grip on it. I found that rocking around in a boat on the water the last thing I wanted to do was lose my grip trying to start that V6 motor. Remember to turn the key on though.
