Re: Tilt and Trim power (meech)
Sounds like we may be suffering the same problem. Can you tilt yours down, or does the motor engage when you try and go down?
Re: Tilt and Trim power (Smokymountman)
Mine is tilted down for storage. When I tried to tilt it up nothing happened. It is like the switch is dead. Both switches...on the motor and on the throttle. Mine is a 115hp with only about 50 hours. Maybe the relay?
Re: Tilt and Trim power (meech)
I can't find any relay on mine to check but I did see several on e-bay. It is just a guess on mine that I am having motor trouble as nothing else makes sence. If I can ever get the darn thing out to have it checked I will let you know what I find.
Re: Tilt and Trim power (Smokymountman)
the relays are under the hood, bolted to the passenger side of the block. they look like automotive starter solenoids, should be two of them, check for power across them when you engage the switch
Re: Tilt and Trim power (meech)
I dont know if this will help but mine did the same thing one time. It was the battery cable. It felt like it was tight but wasn't. It was just loose enough off the battery to cause it not to work. You may try that.
