Optimax 115 Throttle Control
I have a 2008 Optimax 115. Should I have to keep pressure on the hand throttle to remain at WOT?
Basically I loose at least 1000 RPMs from the throttle control arm slowly creeping back up if I do not keep pressure applied. Just not sure if this is normal.

Your throttle control should have a friction adjustment on it "somewhere".
If you can snap a picture of the control (for identification purposes) and post, or email it- that would help. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

The following diaghram shows a breakdown of the modular (behind panel) portion of the control.
#1 in the diaghram is the friction adjustment nut (you may want to enlist the "hands-on expertise" of a qualified technician to access this):

Thanks Don,
Once I gain access to the control box, is it simply a matter of screwing the friction nut in/out for increased/decreased friction?
I have taken it apart one time down to where the control box was loose from the the outside flush mount plastic plate, but I didn't go further and unbolt the flush mount from the fiberglass.

Simply tighten the nut on the control box "module" to increase friction.
No need remove the panel "mounting plate"- just remove the module to access. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
