Depends on your boat and how fast your going. A sport master is only good if your running faster than 85mph or it will actually create more drag and slow your boat down so if your not gonna be going faster than 85 buy the torquemaster. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
What exactly does torque master do compared to one without it.
I'm sure your not asking about a sport master LU. What you want to know is about the pro xs comes standard with a verado LU or option a torque master for a few more $. Your answer is spend the extra $200. and get the TM
The TM lower reduces steering torque. Very noticeable in the mid to upper rpm range. Get the TM.

The torquemaster has a cast-in torque tab on the Starboard side of the skeg, which reduces steering torque.
It also has increased "lift", as comared to the Verado-Style case. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
yeah and its got a fat shaft for those stumps that you don't see.

The Torquemaster DOES utilize the HD (1-1/4") propshaft. It is not, however, "stump-proof". http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
True Don, but it might save you from losing a prop at least it did for me.
