I came out in the garage today to see a small puddle of oil underneath the prop. I had to replace the lower unit two years ago. It didn't run funny or weird yesterday. Do you think it is a bad seal? How bad do you think it is? Thanks.

any leaking oil is NOT GOOD
pull the prop, and look to see if there is some monofilament line ( or anything else) wedged under the propshaft seal. mono will wind around the shaft, melt, and push up on the seal, creating a leak.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
I did that last week. I usually check it about once a month. I am going to pull the prop off in a minute and get a better look at it.
Im sure its nothing, just wipe it up and dont even think about it...................KIDDING!!!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
I pulled the prop off. No line or anything wrapped. Looks like it is leaking from the back of the housing. It is not leaking much. I cleaned it up and checked it an hour later, wasn't any new oil there. I will be calling Junior @ Pitstop in the am.
Be sure to have the gearcase DRAINED- inspect fluid for WATER or METAL FRAGMENTS.
Gearcase should be PRESSURE TESTED to check for leaks. In your case.... include a test at 14 psi, while checking for leaks around the propshaft seals (with soapy water in a spray bottle).
Could simply be an INNER propshaft seal failure. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
That is what it looks like. I noticed oil around the base of the propshaft today. It will be in the shop next monday. Hopefully a easy fix. Thanks for the help everyone.
