225 ProXS smartcraft alarm while motor being trimmed
I have a 2007 ProXS with less than 50 hours, every time i trim the motor up or down while the engin is running the smartcraft warning alarms (the engine and volt icon willl flash and beep) This alarm usually begins a few seconds into the motor being trimmed?
Can anyone advise what the problem may be?
Thanks

Most likely cause is low voltage from a battery with too small of a capacity rating or a battery that has lost capacity. Look at the recommended batteries in this post at the top of the forum.

LOAD TEST your battery to confirm it's ACTUAL capacity (not what it says on the sticker).
Check BATTERY CONNECTIONS. They should be CLEANED, ENGINE CABLE INSTALLED FIRST, remaining lugs LARGEST to SMALLEST. Finish off the connection with a Stainless Locknut (do NOT use WINGNUTS).

Thanks for the advice. I have a Deka Marine Master 24M. My friend load tested the battery and it seemed fine. However, there was a bit of corrosion on the terminal which has been cleaned up. I forgot to mention that i also run 2 Lowarance HDs units which i understand draw alot of power. I will have the boat on the water in the next few days to see if this made a difference.

A 24 series battery is below the minimum especially with the 2 HDS units. A 27 is OK but a 31 series will get you through the day unless you do a lot of running.

Also, see the following post (I highly recommend the Sears Diehard 31M or PM1):
