Congrats !!!!
Congrats! We are here to help you out with any questions you may have on your new purchase! Welcome to Ole's House! CM
I have never owned a Merc, but have rode in some and run a few and I STILL luv em Rudes! I honestly believe when you feel the torque that 3.3 puts out you will be in awe! I think if you take care of that motor she will sing a sweet tune for ya! http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif As I posted before I like the xd-100 oil and I get it in bulk at 30.00 a gal. This motor sips oil , It amazes me sometimes how little it uses, so with the xd-100 I don't have to decarb. At 16.00 bulk the xd-50 is a great semi syn oil that will take care of your motor but you need to decarb every 75-100 hrs I think Rus says. But it tends to give the DI's a no oil alarm in the colder weather. If ya want go with the 100 in winter and the 50 in summer but I would decarb. JMHO If we can help we have the crew that can! Enjoy!!!
Congrats! http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif I don't think you'll be disappointed. Besides, you have great support here as mentioned above.
Bassmeister, how cold is it when you get the alarms? I had my 2000 225 Ficht out a couple of mornings when the air temp was 34 and no alarms. Have not found a local dealer that carries the SD-100. Kind of academic right now, 6" of snow on the boat cover and I'd need a 20#jighead to reach bottom.
thanks,
Woody
It's kind of funny, on a saltwater board I was on, one post went like this.
Guy one: I just got me a Storm Trooper (E-TEC) on my boat.
Guy two: Why would you want to be a Storm Trooper when you could be Darth Vader (Verado).
It just cracks me up with the Star Wars analogies.

Breamster!!!!!????? Ya talk ugly to me and want info in tha next breath????? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif I got it at my dealer, They have it in bulk now I bring my jug and they fill'er up for 30.00! http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Say hey to Peetie Pie for me!!! Have you asked your dealer about bulk oil? I think most dealers carry it now.
DoferGofer,
Barnacle Bills in Jersey has it in bulk also. Not sure what their current prices are but they had XD50 for $12 and XD100 for $28 a gallon. Best part of the deal was that they supplied the jugs!!
Hopefully, they'll keep offering the bulk at the same price next year, but who knows with the way crude oils prices have been. Reguardless, I'll make another trip up there next year since they seem to know their Rudes better then any of the dealers around here and I'd like to get my hands on some Rebel props.
BTW, one of the guys from Barnacle Bills is a member on this board. Maybe he'll chime in to give an updated price.

Hello Dae,
Where do you keep dat ocean liner? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif The water gets kinda shallow up in your area. I get nervous when I put my 19 footer in at Lapidum to fish for white perch.
Let me know the next time you are going up to Jersey.

I had it up in Elkton (the Elk river is way to shallow, even in the channel so don't believe what some of these marinas will tell you), recently moved it down to Hooper's Island. I've also got a '96 Keywest 19cc (proberly the same model as yours) that I keep on Middle river @ a friends that I use for crabbing and just over all fun.
My neighbor has a 25 Proline that he keeps at Tome's and he doesn't have any problem with depth. I gave him a chart when he bought the boat last year and he just uses that and checks the tide b4 running outside the channels.
Maybe we can hook up for the Spring C&R on the Flats, and I'll let ya know when I head back up to Bills.

Fantastic! I would love to learn the secrets of the flats, and we can share some crabbing spots. We mostly crab out of Bush River its been good to us over the past few years.
Keep in touch,
DG, Thanks for the compliment!!! Hope Bill's is close enough for you, those are good prices!!! Around here it's 16.00 for 50 and 30.00 for 100 and we have to have our own jugs!
If Bill's isn't close enough or you want to find someone closer Mabye Dealer locator on the http://www.evinrude.com site will give ya some phone #'s! Hope this helps!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
Dealer told me oil prices will rise at least 10% next year, might want to grab a jug if they have not alrealy raised them.
