Re: Warranty question??? (spider1)
ive never heard of that...sounds like the dealer is sure its gonna be covered, but he really wants to do the work...
Re: Warranty question??? (low slung cruiser)
I called Mercuy Customer Service today and complained and the man I spoke with could not belive that is what this dealer is doing. Also said that they are not very highly rated.
So to make a long story short, I will never step foot in that dealer show room again! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif
Re: Warranty question??? (spider1)
You should phone the dealer, let him know there's a blank, signed check on the way to him. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif Can't imagine why he wouldn't be highly rated! I'm just thankful I live near an excellent and trustworthy dealer- European Marine. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Warranty question??? (spider1)
That is a totally BOGUS practice. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif
The ONLY possible scenario I can DREAM of, would be a QUESTIONABLE gearcase replacement (where there was question as to whether the replacement would be covered due to possible impact damage). And most any knowledgeable/reputable dealer is going to be willing to make a determination "on site" in better than 98% of cases, even there. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif
