Re: New spark Plug wires (Dan929CDX)
Those are decent wires.... however, I would not expect ANY notable gain in performance (unless your current wires are faulty or leaking).
One note: RESISTANCE in the secondary ignition on these 3L EFI models is VERY critical. Even slight changes or variances can have adverse affects- and ONLY the Champion QL77CC Spark Plug should be utilized.
The OEM wires are actually a very good quality wire as well. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: New spark Plug wires (EuropeanAM)
I am running the NGK plugs in my motor right now, do I need to change them or is the difference minute? I think I read or heard somewhere that on a Carb motor these were better than the champion but I may be wrong. Just so we are on the same page my motor is a 3.0L Carb not EFI.
Thanks again,
Danny

Danny:
This particular question is a PERFECT example of why it's SO CRITICAL to provide your engine serial number.
Even knowing that your engine is a Carb Model.... it's impossible for me to accurately ascertain WHICH spark plug is indeed correct.
Earlier models utilized NGK BPZ8HN-10, while the later (CDM Ignition) models utilized EITHER NGK: BPZ8HN-10 OR Champion QL77CC. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
