Question for Don about water in lower unit
Don,
I have a 2008 250 XS and I went to change the oil in the lower unit and when I went to drain the old oil it looked as if it was full of water. Some oil did come out but there was alot of water in the oil. I was wondering if you thought it would be covered under warranty. I thought I would bring it to you if you could fix it. What you think?

If your engine is under the FACTORY warranty period, and the leak is caused by a "defect in materials or workmanship", then yes- it should be covered under the factory warranty.
Highly recommend REFILLING the gearcase with gear lube IMMEDIATELY to prevent rust/corrosion from occurring.
We'll be glad to get you in any time... and keep appropriate seals/kits on hand. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

Better get that pressure tested to determine where the leak is! Whatever you do.... don't leave it "dry".... refill with appropriate lube promptly! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

I refilled it wouldnt leave it dry! My Guy ordered seal kit the new coils had one go this summer and those side plates that are cracked. This spring I get it in and should be in great shape.
