A different approach?

Eric is the local Table Rock expert.

I've tried the promise of niceness
To no avail.
I then demanded his help
He told me to go to haell.

So now for a different approach,
I'll make this attempt.
With such high hopes
of it being shame well spent.

Eric oh Eric
In your infinite wisdom.
Help a brutha out and
save him from a poor decision.

Guide me to some places
Show me where to go.
And if it's not to much to ask
Even what to throw.

What brought me to this new low?
To humble myself with this rhyme.

I thought about that. But, I was hoping to narrow my search before I got on the water.
