How much time do you spend on the water?
Everyone says the best and only way to become a better angler is time on the water. I realized recently that last year I might have actually spent only about 20 days on the water all year (maybe once every other saturday and missing a few of those). So I figured this poll might shed some light on how much time some of y'all spend chasing little green fish. (Heck, SkeeterDD22 sounds like he spent more time on the water in December than my year.

This time of the year I'll only hit the lake about once every couple of weeks, but once it warms up I'll fish 3-4 times a week. A lot of my trips will just be a few hours in the evening after work but I will get out pretty often. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Oh and I'm living proof that time on the water doesnt necessarily make you a better angler http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif

I go every chance I get but it still is not enough. I usually fish 3 to 4 times a week.

During the fall/winter months, I normally only fish during the weekends...usually about 4-6 times a month. In January, I fished more than I think I've ever done in the winter. I was on the water about 10 times due to some vacation time and every saturday fishing.
Starting in March, about 2-3 times a week is not uncommon, especially since I fish a tournament every Thursday night, and sometimes on Tuesday night. Throw in Saturdays and there ya go...I would fish every day if I could.

pretty much everyday of the week... when the ice is all gone...

For me it depends on alot of things. I don't generally fish at all from November through January. I'll crappie fish a little in Feb, then bass and crappie in March. Then April is hit or miss depending on how Turkey season is going. If the river around LR is fishable, I'll fish anywhere from 2-5 days out of any given week in the summer. If not, then sometimes only once a week. The last 2 years have been more of the latter. I'll concentrate more on fishing up until October, then it's year by year as to whether I fish or hunt more. Last year, I quit in late August and haven't been on the water since. If I keep getting good crappie reports, that will be changing real soon, though.
So which choice am I supposed to vote for? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif

Living here on Lake Norfork I fish 300+ days a year at least.....

4-5 days a week. But, not full days.
Two to four hours a day on weekdays. Longer on weekends.
And it's true. There is nothing like time on the water to improve. But, it's not stuff you will notice.
After a while, you will begin to know where to be at certain times of the day. Where to be/what to look for when cloudy, sunny, windy, calm, etc...
What to try given the conditions.
Places where NOT be no matter what.
AND, at the end of every day...I still realize that a pea brain fish with a memory of 2 seconds is still smarter than I am.
And the only explanation for that is....They spend more time on the water than I do.
