Ok I dont know that you all remember but after my layoff in April I sold my 20xd. In November I found a really good deal on a 21v, I like the boat but really miss the bigger deck of the XDs. Has anyone ever built a deck extention for the 20v or 21 v? If so could you please hook me up with some information or pictures, any help would greatly appriciated.
man me too!!!! i have a really nice clean 20 vee and wish so much it was a xd or xrd. i have studied on it it and not sure what could be done
There used to be a guy on another website with a McDonald's colored 19v with a custom extended deck - it looked pretty nice! I saw it several years ago on FastBass.com. Might be able to ask around and find the boat

All vee boats have that recessed passenger seat??
I believe just the 17v and 19v have the offset seats. Pretty sure all the 20 and 21v boats have the seats straight across, more like the XDs. But yeah thats the first 19v XRD I have ever seen. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Fibretec in Alabama did the resto on that 19V several years ago. Last I heard it was for sale in Ky.
I am finishing my 91 20 vee deck extension. here are a few pics. I raised the deck 3". Raised the original rod locker lid. Had to slope the front of the deck down toward the panel, a drain is going in and tying in with the recessed trolling tray. I tried weighing all the materials as I went, somewhere around 85 to 95lb's. Sure it will slow it down. Sorry about the pics, fiberglass and gel dust everywhere! I ground into the boat everwhere the new deck touches and glassed it in.

I will post pics when done and shined back up. Have to finish the deck, wet sand the hull, polish and wax. The engine (2000 225ho johnson) is at marfab now getting work done to the block. Last year I hit and island and done some cosmetic damage to the transom, nothing structural, but that is where all the dust has come from. I ground the whole splash well and two thirds down on the transom. We are glassing that in and gel coating it next. A WINTER MAKEOVER!

Gthe deck done! still have some work to do in the storage areas. Its not perfect and will slow the boat down some, but I think I will like fishing out of it better. Now to finish the transon area.
