often see 3L Torquemaster cases for sale without the gear set. Can the stock gears be used in these or is a special gearset required? The price difference between just the case and a complete unit is at least double. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
These are a COMPLETELY different gearcase from the "standard" gearcase models. Similar in external appearance.... same water pump, and bolt to the same bolt pattern. The internal components are VERY different!

"Swapping internals" to a new Torquemaster case is really only an option if you had a Torquemaster, Fleetmaster, or Sportmaster to start with (all use similar internals, provided they're from the same serial number break, or "generation"). http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
