I wouldn't run that gearcase real high at all, it looks like the skeg has been welded on. The higher you go the more stress it'll put on the skeg so it could break and if it does that could be real bad at WOT.

Judge, I have the same setup as you, I am 2" below the pad with a 25 Razor 3 blade. I am running 77.5 and have plenty of water pressure. I`m going to try and come up a little on my plate and see if I can pick up a little more speed.

+1!!! If you havent bought that one yet I would hold out for another one that hasnt been welded on. That is a TorqueMaster, and what you should be running on your boat.
I sure wish you could have made it to the rally a few weeks ago!! We were looking for you!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

I wish I could have made it too. I had everything loaded and ready to go anticipating being out of court by no later than 5pm; the jury had other plans and deliberated until fairly late. Too tired to make the effort by then.
I checked with the prior owner who swears the skeg was never welded, that it was sanded, he does the edges of his props that way too (???). I grew up in an auto salvage yard until after I got out of law school and have welded my share fixes and seen some of the best; if it has been welded its the best I've ever seen. There is no indication of a weld seam or cover up after its been ground down. The edge you seen is not a seem its the sanding edge
Either way if I can't get this figured out soon it might require a trip to Ark. for some education.
