power trim quit working???
i was running on pad trying a new prop out i slowed down and stopped then i noticed that my power trim was not working i checked all the fuses, wires and connections i can hear a solenoid clicking there was 4 of them so i swapped them and still no trim i have 4 different trim buttons and none of them are making it work i dont know if this has anything to do with it but i think i might have trimed it up to high over and over and now burned it up maybe??? because i dont have a trim gauge but its currently stuck about mid way not all the way up or all the way down its a 2000 evinrude 225 (i called my bossman while on the water and he said its easy to fix just loosen up all four of them big bolts PROBLEM SOLVED lol)

There should be a release screw located on the side of the clamp bracket. Use this screw to get you high enough to drive down the road etc. You loosen the screw and you can manually move the motor. tighten screw and motor should stay. Did you try to tap on the trim motor itself? In most cases I have seen, if you still get clicking in solenoids and all fuses are fine then its the trim motor itself.
Mine did this. On my last motor. It acted funny one time then worked fine for about 2 months. Then acted funky one or two more times then worked fine for a month. Then stopped all together.. Replaced trim mota and BINGO BANGO I be rollin... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
