What gears are you running?
It is the stock gear case.
Is it a sportmaster or the Verado case? You should be able to turn that prop, those are strong motors.
All I know is it is the stk. black gear case.
Sounds like a torque master with a 1.75 gear ratio, should be able to sping that wheel....... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Yes it is the 1.75
I wouldnt want a torquemaster on a 20.....especially with a 250! That case will blow out around 88-90
But you should be able to turn it just fine....especially with a sportmaster
Ya alot of people are telling me that it will blow out 88mph or above. I would like to get it to 85 and I will be satisfied. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
I have a new, (2010), 20XRD w/ a 250 XS, and I cranked my 26 Hydromotive Q4-X-O/B to 88 mph, at about the limiter, so I bought a 28, which I should be able to hit 90 with. MY mota has a Sportmast w/ 1 62 gears, so you shouldn't have any trouble at all......Double J

No you won't...or at least not for long. Don't pass up an oppertunity to trade it for a sportmaster. You can find trades once in a while...people think they wasnt a sportmaster then find out their set-up would run better with a torquemaster and want to trade it.
+1
I have that rig. I trade lower units for a Sporty. It has 1:62 gears. For a fishing prop the 28 pitch hydromotive is great. It will still get on the Rev Limiter with a lite load. It should give you a great holeshot. This combo is tricky to prop. It needs to have rev limiters at about 6300 in stead of 5800. JMHO
