The Atlas is a great jackplate and we have not seen any problems with them at all. Its also the one that Phoenix uses on all of there boats that get hyd plates. Cool thing about it is, you dont have to mount a pump inside, its all built together. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
How does it compare to others like Detwiler as far as weight?
Have had one for 6 mos. Works much quicker than the CMC i had
I have a 6" mounted to an 8" fixed plate (the boat marty posted pics of). Have had it 7 months and love it so far. As far as weight, I don't think it weighs much more than a non-hydraulic plate. The hydraulic components are made of some sort of light weight plastic looking material and are very compact in size. It operates fast and smooth and can be ordered with a gauge. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

I have heard nothing but good things about them. I was also told (not sure if its true) that they use the same PTP from a 90hp Merc.
Only down fall to this plate is it would be a pain to have powdercoated.
Anything is faster then a CNC...JUNK!
