20XDC max motor height...?

Have a 1998 20XDC w/225PM SS and a Sportmaster running a 26P TXP-OT4 w/PVS holes 2 plugged to 3/8ths 2 open... Oh and 14" setback RapidJack plate... Runs 6500-6600rpm`s and basicly neutral trim...

Had it at 1 1/2" above and felt good and ran 81-82 just not solid, but tried another 1/4" to 1 3/4" above and it put the boat to a solid 84.5mph so should I try for more (man it feels good)...? This was gear loaded with 3/4 tank fuel but empty live well...

What would be max height on this setup to run the motor...?

I run the same thing and at 1 3/4" above but once you put water in the well it doesn't carry the bow quite as good and you have to watch how you trim or you can lose bite from the wheel.

Just watch your water pressure (12 psi min) and temp guage!!

Lou... At WOT and at speed it was holding 20-22psi and the temps were just above 135F on the gauge... Boat was handling really good but learning more about lifting to quick on the throttle... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif Funny thing is it doesnt hook to either side it just hops some then settles...

26P TXP-OT4 w/PVS holes open and I also have about 25psi of water pressure and temps about 140f
