We're actually pulling the reverse psychology on them now. Places we use to make fun of, are producing now. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

I'm a lurker... Bay Wallace seems to always be the hot spot here. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Re: FYI on lurkers (bCody)
I have never had any luck trying to catch someones else's fish. I mean really, how many times you hear that the fish are biting in an area and you go and zero. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Same here, I have never gotten why people think so highly of info. Someone giving me specific info has NEVER worked for me. More general info has been much more helpful but even then I am way better off when I find something for myself.

Thats the good part about an IM on this site versus Sportsman. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

because alot of times it does pay off.. you just have to take into account a couple of things...
#1..are the conditions exactly the same as the day that your buddy went there
#2.. does everyone else know where you are going and the fish were so doggone pressured that they shut down?

Why in the hell would anyone want to tell 10,000 people where they caught fish. I get it that some of us on here are friends and thats a whole different ball game, but when you just come on and annouce it to everyone, then thats where it gets hairy.
Its different if you IM someone something. I have done to help someone and they have back to me.

Re: FYI on lurkers (90xpress)
Phone scouting is fine but I would never rely on something I heard without going see for myself first. Too many things can change in an hour much less from the time billy bob wacked them on a humdinger in bay wallace east.
You cannot even rely on your own info from scouting and have to be able to make decicions on the fly and adjust when needed. The key is understanding when and why fish react to certain conditions and applying what it takes to put them in the boat.
The biggest thing I try to accomplish when scouting is to locate an area where fish are living and eliminate dead areas. If the weather pattern is stable you can usually go back and catch them but if something changes you better go in with an open mind and be ready to figure it out again.
All of this is easier said than done and sometimes when you think you have it figured out you still struggle. Thats what seperates the good anglers from the bad.

Chase.. that's the point I was trying to make.. I never post info out in the open, but if someone asks me for info through IM, I will help in any way that I can.
Re: FYI on lurkers (90xpress)
Ive been trying to get some info and learn something from yall for a while now.....guess I'll have to lerk somewhere else!!!!!!!
Re: FYI on lurkers (barchief)
I implied based off my experience I dont understand why people put so much faith in info cause it has never worked for me. The guy that fishes based on his own experiences will be better off or win the tx almost every time. <table width="90%" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 align=center><tr><td>Quote, originally posted by barchief »</td></tr><tr><td class="quote">
