Hey Don--250 xb hesitating
My 02 250xb is hesitating when I mash the pedal for take off. After about 3 seconds it revs up and runs fine. I have the new fuel line we put in and new plugs. And my water pressure is still around 8-10 with low water pick-up but will go to 15 at wot. I checked my gauge with another one like you said and both were the same. Whatcha think?

If you can reach 15 psi at WOT.... you're probably fine.
Let's check two SIMPLE things on the hesitation, before looking for anything "deeper":
1. If you're running a Trophy Prop.... do you have a "blow-out ring" installed on the gearcase side of the prop? If not.... it's an inexpensive improvement.....
2. Try starting your takeoff at "level trim", and then trimming down as your engine starts to spool up in RPM's. If the idle relief port (at the back of the engine) is too low, you may not be able to clear water from the exhaust ports for several seconds (essentially choking your engine out much the same way as the old "teenager trick" of cramming a potato up someone's tailpipe). http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Let me know what you find.... it may also be that we need to consider cleaning the injectors on that engine, being as it sat for a while (unknown period).

I'll try the level trim starting. Running a 28p Bravo 1 worked by Mark now with 2 holes plugged but I need to plug a couple more. Thanks and I'll let you know.
