Re: Mercury guys (Gun Runner)
Wendell, in chackbay by mikes bar gets ten of them a week with same problem , usually ones with carbs and full pumps have fuel pumps fuel of orange jelly looking substance(inside of fuel lines that melted) from ethanol. Need to change them fuel lines to ethanol resistant lines, clean carbs and fuel pumps. Also while you under covers check spark plugs for fouling. That's the two problems he gets the most. Hope it helps. All else fails bring it to Wendell his turnaround time is excellent.

Darby i called windle but he didnt answer, guess he was done with motors for the weekend. Found that one float was stuck and fixed the problem. Went run it again and it fired right up. Got on pad and came down, killed. Float stuck again. So im going to go get a needle and seat kit and some CARB MEDIC and see if that will fix the problem.
When i took my inline filter off the gas hose they had all kind of little pieces of fuel line in it. Hopefully everything was caught in the filter and its just this one problem with the carbs. Thanks for the help guys
Re: Mercury guys (90xpress)
HE usually takes Sunday's off if he can , but he is at nuckos every morning about 4 am when they open and then he is usually right into his shop working on motors. You could catch him in morning if you want to.
