My son got up this morning and found a virus on his computer. It shut down the computer and shows an ad to buy their virus protection to fix it. Pisses me off. Time for another trip to the geek squad. That will be the third time since he bought the computer. I think it is all them gamer sites he visits.

Barry. It IS the gamer sites.. had to clean off my son's PC a while back. I re-imaged his machine and forgot to load AVG on it.. got a virus within a week.

Think I fixed it. Went into safe mode and ran the virus scan, then did a system restore back to yesterday. Does that make me a geek???

Barry alot of people been getting that one, just restore to a previous date when it was working fine, it worked on a bunch so far to fix the problem.
Mac pro is the way to go, my brother has one, but i aint dollin out no couple grand for a lap top
