I have used P-line 20# for most bottom bait stuff BUT now have some 17# BPS fluro and some green Yo-Zuri hybrid 25#...
does anyone know about either of these?
(use would be for jigging with heavier jigs on cypress roots and such wood cover)

I have used P-line exclusivly for years but am sick and tired of it having so much memory the day after I spool it. Since I started using Micro Guides on my rods you can feel every twist. I have several 3000 yard spools sitting in the cabinets.
I went to Trilene Big Game. I tried Sunline and did not find it very durable.
Just my 2 cents.
What pound test?
15 pound and 17 pound
I love the stuff and rarely lose a fish with it.

I have used both and love BPS Flouro and see no reason to even try some of the other flouros that are claimed to be so much better. "If it aint broke dont fix it"
For a co poly you cant go wrong with Yo Zuri strong manageable and more sensitive than standard mono. I switched to Izorline Platinum on all my set ups that I dont have flouro on and while its good I will probally go back to Yo Zuri. I call it Big Game with a little more sensitivity which means nothing on moving baits but it is a little more manageable when it comes to memory.
Big Game is probaly as dependable as you can get though when it comes to tougness. You can land anything on 15# Big game. For moving baits you cant beat it. it does develop a little memory though if you dont change it often. Yo Zuri is a tick better in this department but not much.
I went to Pline for a couple yrs and last yr went back to big game for the basics. I use 12lb alot and its tough. You will get a bad spool occasionally and when you do you might as well throw the whole thing away. I just got some BPS flouro to try so cant comment on that. If it werent for clear water in a couple of places I fish, I would stick with the braid though for jigs and such and not even try the flouro. My 2 cents

My wild hair makes me try a LOT of new stuff...
I have used 30# Sufix braid for my worm/Beavis rod, 15# P Line for topwaters and 14# Sufix Deep Crankin for cranks BUT I tried Vicious 20# when buzzbaiting this fall and was impressed...that was chunkin Buzzy all day and boating 19 keepers...so a pretty good test...
Thinking of dropping the Deep Crankin for the 15# BPS fluor spool bought 2 weeks ago for crankin and maybe the 17# for buzzing and even jigging...also want to spool up a Patriarch with the 25# Yo-Zuri hybrid for jigging and see how that works out a few days...use of the rest of the 15# bright green P Line for other topwaters so I can track those long precise casts better...
anyway, I am again re-organizing my organization...which I swear every December I will not do...somebody help me before I buy again...lol.

Give me the low down on these Micro guide. What does it improve?
I have 5 custom made K Z-Bone rods and the micro guides have been an impressive improvement...
basically you get about 15 feet more casting distance for the same effort and less tangles...at least that is my experience after 5 months and maybe 12 tournament days...some small advantage in not bending guides too...because they are much smaller...I like...
BTW...the other rod makers are all adding micros so that should tell us a LOT...
Mine are all custom made by PTR fishing. The smaller guides not only allow for more casting distance but greater aim and the best part is you can feel everything. I feel a worm hit every little object as it is falling. When a fish picks it up you immediately know. The high end custom rod builders have been using them for a while and the big producers are just starting to get with the program.
