Yesterday was not a good day for me

Motor caught fire early yesterday morning while in the wax. I will be boatless for a while. I dont know how much it will cost to fix but i dont have the funds for it. All the wires you see in the picture are fused together and I dont know how far the damage went. Just thank god I had a fire extinguisher and I thought to use it.

Had to disconnect the battery to make the fire stop. As I would extinguish it, it would start back 2 or 3 times until I disconnected it

Man that just sucks.Glad you thought to unhook the battery. People have lost the whole boat because of not doing what you did so that was some quick thinking.i know it looks bad to you , but might not be to much to fix as long as nothing internal is not damaged..Hope ya get it going soon..

was running down a canal and motor just killed. Turned around and saw smoke coming from under the motor. Took the cover off and had a flame about 1.5ft. scared the chit out of me

I was able to shank 3 coons yesterday though that have been "STEALING" my corn! so it wasnt a total bust of a day
