saw one in bayou penchant area 2 weeks ago. i thought i was seeing things ,but the boat on side of me saw it too. about a 8-10 lber jumped about 3ft out of the water. looked alot like the grass carp. you hit one of those dudes while you are running its lights out !!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
3 years ago in March we had a full moon. I was running Delacroix and noticed the mullet were on top and my boat was spooking them as I ran by them. They would jump as we passed. I slowed the boat down to about 40 as I was concerned. Just then I got hit in the head by a flying mullet. It hurt like hell. Could have been much worse. These things look worse than the mullet though http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
That sucks!

Kill everyone you see. They have flat destroyed some of the fisheries up here.
Ideling along with a partner holding a shotgun works real well. Kinda like shooting trap.
And you can thank someone from Arkansas for them getting out in the 93 flood.

I've been hit in the head by a mullet. I let go of the steering wheel and luckily I had someone in the boat with me to grab it. I can't imagine a 30 pound missle
come on the red river around marksville they are like termites on a bullet. I have had some up to 30 pounds hit me in the head, shoulder, and back. some of them have jumped in the boat and even across the front deck. the thing that makes them jump out of the water is the vibration while you are idle your motor, it drives them nuts.
Didn't know we had them in the RR. I haven't seen any jumping in the boat in Pool 2.
come on down to pool 1 and lower and see for yourself. I can take you to see over a hundred swimming in one area just below the surface. and they also have some in saline seen them the last two times i went.
