Small Smoker??

I went to a buddy's house the other night and he smoked some brisket and ribs. Well, I liked it so much I have been thinking about getting a small smoker so I could do chicken, sausage, ribs etc... I grill 3-4 times a week and would love to have something else to cook with outside. I started looking around online and realized there are a bunch of different types, sizes etc.. and I have no clue what to look for http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif He was using a large wood burning smoker that would be a bit too big for me as I live in an apartment and have limited space outside. Get a smaller one like he had just saying

The guy next door just got an electric smoker and it works great. He paid a butt load of $$ for his, but you can get a nice one from Academy,BPS, or Cabelas for alot less.
The Electric has some nice settings and once you get it loaded up you can walk away and it will take care of itself.
If it was not for my neighbors i would already have one, but i can use his anytime and a really dont care to use one that much anyway.

Fritz you can keep it at my house. Just let me know when you are firing it up and I will get some extra meat.

I've been using those inexpensive Brinkman smokers for years. Pour a couple Abita Ambers in the water pan and some water!!! It's really an easy way to cook. Ya think those were good, try a beef tenderloin on there. Man, i'm slobberin on my keyboard thinking about it. I like to inject them with a mixture of roasted garlic/cajun butter with some "slap yo mama" mixed in. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

just put some wood chips in your pit you have now while you are cooking. It'll put enough smoke in it for a yank http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emhammer.gif

I got a smoker from Lowes. Charcoal, 60 bucks. Brinkman. Works great. Electric model is identical but 80 bucks. You just dont get as much smoke flavor with the electric but both work fine and are cheap. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

No really it did, dude paid 1100 buck for that thing,too pricey for me, but its a bad mo fo and should last forever.
