Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (hemi1)
Try pumping the primer bulb to see if it "recovers".
If pumping the primer bulb improves the situation, it's highly likely a FUEL DELIVERY issue (pickup tube in tank, antisiphon valve, fuel line, primer bulb, pulse fuel pump, restricted filter, or low pressure fuel pump).
If not, would be a good idea to monitor spark. Could be a spark plug, plug wire, or coil issue. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (EuropeanAM)
its at a dealer they checked it in the shop and could find nothing
it seems like this happens with load or near wot.
what do you think?
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (hemi1)
At WHAT RPM was this occuring?
Were you reading that RPM on an ANALOG TACH or a Smartcraft Instrument?
Still recommend you see the above post (and it's recommendations). http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (EuropeanAM)
it seemed like above 4500 rpms from smartcraft
this was a very severe miss the whole boat would jerk when this happened.
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (hemi1)
Were there any corresponding changes in your Smartcraft Instrument (resetting, loss of data signal, etc)?
Almost sounds electrical.... if the problem can't be duplicated except in the water, under load, and seems to be a "rapid" miss, you MAY have a sensor issue (such as the MAP sensor, TPS, or ** Crankshaft Position Sensor **. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (EuropeanAM)
No just the day before started to feel like surge but not as severe
smart gauge was normal and no ck eng light
this was like entire engine was shutting down.but is was not just missing that bad.
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (hemi1)
I'd recommend looking at the BASICS:
-Compression
-Spark test (all six cylinders.... including, as necessary "when engine is acting up")!
-Fuel delivery, Air/Fuel Pressure tests (again, as necessary, when acting up).
Be sure to take a visual inspection of the spark plugs. Pay close attention to the porcelain around the electode itself- ANY line that runs "even remotely lengthwise" should be "assumed to be a crack"- REPLACE THE SPARK PLUG(S). http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Did you get a chance to try pumping the primer bulb when it's acting up yet???? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: 08 225 PRO XS BAD MISS (EuropeanAM)

I'm assuming you meant to say that you REPLACED the TPS, then took the boat out, and it seems to have fixed it? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
(Clarifying so that someone with similar symptoms doesn't remove the TPS, and throw it out) http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
