250 pro xs neutral safety switch
Been having an issue with having to jiggle the throttle control around a bit before the engine will crank....I am assuming it is the neutral safty switch....I have come up with part# 889514 a01 but just want to make sure before I purchase one ...Thanks B-lou

INCORRECT. 889514A01 is the "Shift Position Switch" mounted on the engine (signals the PCM as to whether the engine is in gear, or out of gear... but has not effect on "starting").
"Start in Gear Protection" (neutral safety switch) is located INSIDE THE CONTROL BOX in the boat. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Would need to determine the manufacturer, and model, of the control box to obtain the correct switch. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

The switch is $16.58, and is available with ring terminals, bullet connectors, or no terminals at all (specify your needs to determine correct part number).
The wires in question will be yellow with a red stripe. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
