Fished banner Saturday evening with a buddy of mine. I love that lake, but have never fished there in the summer time. I was absolutely amazed at the stupidity clogging the boat ramps, but that's another story. Fished from 7 til 9 and boated 8 fish, nothing over 18" but nothing under 15". Caught fish flippin texas rigged tubes into the trees. After catching 5 fish, I flipped into a tree, felt the bite and set the hook and SNAP my rod broke right underneath the bottom eye! I have never done that before! I tried to handline the fish in, but it wrapped me up pretty good. I could feel it surging, but couldn't get it to come around whatever it got the line wrapped up in. Oh well. Falcon should cover the broken rod under warranty, so all in all it was a pretty good little 2 hour trip. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Banner is fantastic but the ramp is full of tards. That and nobody observes the no wake zone at the ramp either. That dock will flat beat a boat up due to its location in regard to the main part of the lake that everyone boats on.

Only fished banner once ... and it was at night in june or july all i can say is it is amazing... a buddy and me prob caught 75 fish one being a 20lb flathead... the funny thing is this was the night before the jr qualifier and we figured we would wet our lines and i think we sore lipped em... winner of the jr tournament had 8 lbs lol
