Re: Lost power on 08 225 xs (hemi1)
Sounds like you're "down a cylinder". Spark test (on all six cylinders at once) would be the best place to start- followed by spark plug inspection and compression test.
Next step would be fuel/air pressure tests. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
I'm guessing that you may locate the problem by the time you make it to the spark plugs. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: Lost power on 08 225 xs (EuropeanAM)
does it sound like a coil problem like talked about on other post?
Re: Lost power on 08 225 xs (hemi1)
That would be one of SEVERAL possibilities....
Also possible (killing an individual cylinder), would be:
-Spark Plug
-Direct Injector
-Fuel Injector
-Plug Wire
-Compression issue
-Reed Issue
And.... that's assuming that it's a "single cylinder" issue, and not an issue that has enacted "Engine Guardian" (limiting your power).
Best suggestion- start at checking for spark, and then proceed "methodically". Don't recommend going a whole lot further without the assistance of your dealer. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
