Bassin' at Tuttle Creek??
Hey guys..... family got invited along on a campout next weekend at Tuttle Creek. I have never been there- wondering if there's any catchable population of bass ?
I don't know many details, just that they have their camper at the "river pond" whatever that is,LMAO.
If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Must have been years ago...you'd have a fun time getting a bass boat up the river now...
Not much help from me, I don't fish that mudhole. Like Casey I have heard plenty of stories and seen plenty of pictures, but neevr spent any time on it. Have caught a couple nice ones while crappie fishing, but that's it. I know Matt has a pretty good handle on it, I'm sure he gave you some good advice.

I used to follow a circuit that fished out there when I was on active duty stationed at Fort Riley (early to mid 90s). Circuit was Bass n Badges, they hit it at least once a year and I never recall a limit being weighed in. A good bag would be 2-3 keepers.
Found this on the Web:
Bass n' Badges was a law enforcement only fishing organization founded
by a Kansas Highway Patrolman, Roy Roper in 1992. Bass n' Badges
conducted fishing tournaments in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and
Oklahoma. The youth side of Bass n' Badges was called Cops n'
Bobbers. They expanded to include military and fire personnel, and
renamed their kids events to Lil Keepers. Lil Keepers provided
countless children with enjoyable events. Unfortunately Bass n Badges
closed its doors and with it went Lil Keepers.

I used to fish Bass-N-Badges back in the day. Fun circuit and Roy did an awsome job running it. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Fished Tuttle a couple of times but didn't do very well.
I have heard rumors of nice sacks of bass caught there in the spring on certain parts of the lake. I'm sure its just like most other KS lakes in that certain spots hold bass. Just gotta find out where they are. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

I've never fish a tournament on tuttle, but I've had a couple days where my best 5 bass would have gone 15 lbs or so. I've heard of 20 lb bags being caught during spring time tournaments out there.
