Yes. 12ga. right? I know some people that like #6 because of the extra shot in the air but I prefer #4. Those heavier than lead goose loads arent so bad either http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
i always used 3" 2 oz of #6 copper buffered shot out of a full choked 302 Bretta , 40 yds will lay them down http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif

Casey, from what I have found #5 turkey loads in 3 1/2 with full choke, I have a turkey choke for the Benelli if you want to use it http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

You should try and get out and pattern those loads before you go hunting. So you know what the pattern looks like at different yardages. Every gun, choke and load are different. Even two of the same gun and choke setups will shoot the same loads different. Those loads should do the trick on a turkey though. I use to use 3" #6 out of my 870 and had a pattern the size of a papper plate a 40yds. They would realy lay them out. Now I do it the hard way. Nothing but bow and arrow. Becareful it can turn into an addiction.

Id love to get out and pattern my gun with all turkey, upland, and waterfowl loads I may use just to set it straight but I can't afford to buy tons of shells just to pattern http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif I thought about getting #5's for turkey but figured shooting 3 1/2's would get plenty of #4 shot in the air http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I've killed turkeys with 3.5 inch 4's, 5's, and 6's the past few years, dead is dead. All through my Xtrema and Wad Wizard, never had any trouble. Try to make yourself stop shaking, put the bead on their head, and pull the trigger. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
