It's a good thing you went in quickly. If your appendix ruptures, it can be really serious. I had mine out when I was 9 years old. It was pretty scary to go in the operating room at that age. That was back when they really sliced you open, too. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif

Update:
Things went great. Surgery Thursday AM, Drove myself home to NE on Friday AM. Never took a single pain med since the surgery, other than a couple IB's on the way home to prevent swelling. Up and around all weekend and back at work today. Suprised there was no residual pain. Had about a 1 1/2" incision. Can't really even feel it. Wierd.
