X Motors ?

Need an education.

Just picked up a boat with a 2002 225X. I've had a '99 280 and a '00 225 EFI but not familiar with this X series. Looking at Don's Common Questions post I do not see where the X motors are listed for oil type and etc.

Please educate me on the X series.

X is a GREAT motor , use the Mercury Premium plus or Penn blends both available at Wally World..

My son has a 225X and I did have one.............they are a great motor.

GOT A 2002 225X TOO ,RUN MERC PLUS SINCE NEW WITH NO PROBLEMS
